Google Ads: Video Marketing Tools

This means if you haven’t jumped on the video marketing bandwagon - we highly recommend you do. Luckily, Google Ads has made this extremely easy to do. Just about over a month ago, Google announced their new and improved asset library. 

For starters, the asset library alone is a great tool to have for a marketing team or any business needing access to the same content. It allows everyone under the same Google Ads account to have access to images and videos to view, import, and organize from past and present campaigns. This means there’s no need to re-upload content you’re using across multiple campaigns and makes sharing and working with your team much easier.
With this asset library, comes two useful features; the video creation tool and voice-over tool. Once you’re in your Asset Library (located under Tools & Settings > Shared Library), just click the blue plus sign in the upper lefthand corner. From there, you’ll go down to Video and you can choose between Create Video or Add Voice-Over.

It provides a variety of templates to choose from, all of which are made for YouTube so that they have optimal speed, brand and product placements, and notable calls to action. The templates are also categorized for the purpose of your video (i.e. show phone interaction, feature your brand, share a promotion) and it shows how much of each asset is needed for each template (number of images, logo, and text). After selecting your template, all you need to do is apply your content and assets, watch the video to make sure it’s good to publish, and you’re set to upload. 

Voice-Over Tool

If you’re not familiar with the term voice-over, it’s basically a narration. Google converts text input into speech that can be overlaid on a YouTube video. It powers this voice-over tool by using its AI text-to-speech technologies. With Google’s studies and partnering with copywriters and ad professionals, Google was able to produce natural-sounding speech so that the voice-overs are not only similar to human quality but also optimized for advertising. 

Similarly to the Video Creation tool, using the Voice-Over tool is very simple. All you have to do is type in your script, select the preferred voice, and Google does the rest by overlaying the voice-over onto your video. Google provides 7 different voices in English that were created specifically with advertising in mind. In addition to English, Google also offers text-to-speech voices in Filipino, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Korean, Malaysian, Mandarin, Spanish, and Swedish - and plans to add more languages in the future.
