It’s no secret that Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become increasingly popular over the years. It is continuously evolving and statistics show it’ll only continue to grow in 2023.
If those stats don’t convince you, recent releases of ChatGPT, DALL-E 2, and Canva Docs just might.
ChatGPT
Recently, you may have heard about the new release for ChatGPT. It’s a variant of the popular language model GPT-3 (Generative Pre-trained Transformer 3) specifically designed for chatbot applications. It was developed by OpenAI, the leading artificial intelligence research laboratory, and was released in 2020.
One of the main features of ChatGPT is its ability to generate human-like text in real-time, allowing it to hold natural conversations with users. This is accomplished through a combination of pre-training on large datasets and fine-tuning on specific tasks, such as customer service or answering frequently asked questions.
ChatGPT is also able to understand and respond to context, meaning it can carry on a conversation and maintain a consistent persona even when the conversation strays from the initial topic. This ability to maintain coherence is a key advantage over many traditional chatbots that struggle to understand and respond to user input.
One of the main benefits of using ChatGPT for chatbot applications is its ability to scale to a wide range of industries and use cases. Overall, ChatGPT is a powerful tool for creating chatbots that can hold natural, coherent conversations with users and perform a wide range of tasks. Its ability to understand and respond to context and maintain a consistent persona make it a top choice for businesses looking to improve customer service and streamline their operations.
DALL - E 2
Developed by the same OpenAI as ChatGPT, the new and improved DALL-E 2 has been released. This is a new AI system intended to create realistic images and art just from a description.
By inputting a text description, DALL-E 2 will create a photorealistic image or art piece. Based on the information you provide, it can combine concepts, attributes, and styles. It can even expand existing images beyond the original canvas, apply realistic edits to existing images, add or remove elements, and create different variations of an original image.
Canva Docs
Lastly, another AI based tool, which you may already be familiar with, is Canva. Known for being a user-friendly no-code platform, Canva is utilized for creating, editing, and basically all things graphic design.
Recently, Canva announced their newest release, Canva Docs, which is now available with new user-friendly tools. To access the tools, there is a new ➕ button for desktop users and a 🔍 button for mobile users. Included in this list of tools are a variety of options such as design, text, lists, and charts. But one of the newest features is the Magic Write tool which uses the power of AI. Users now have the ability to type in instructions such as “write a heartfelt birthday card note,” and Magic Write does the rest for you.
Summary
More and more companies are utilizing the power of AI, whether that be implementing it in business processes or company products and services to provide more value to users. Current uses of AI include automation, data analytics, and Natural Language Processing (NLP) such as the systems and tools we mentioned today. As we transition into 2023, we’ll continue to see more organizations leveraging AI to ultimately increase productivity and operational efficiency.
