Claris announced on August 19 that FileMaker Cloud for AWS will end support on January 4, 2022. This is entirely surprising as in June the newest version of FileMaker Server was released to be compatible with the Ubuntu Linux distribution as the CentOS end-of-life had been announced. Generally speaking, if you’re presently using FileMaker Cloud for AWS and you're pleased with your current service, you should be able to stay with FileMaker Cloud.
That said, if you’re looking to expand your database capabilities, reach your customers in new ways with new offerings, reduce overhead costs, or implement a growth-based business plan—then we highly recommend reviewing FileMaker Server as it has the possibility to better suit your needs.
