JOB SUMMARY
PK Information is hiring a FileMaker developer/consultant. You will work with clients to develop the best software strategy for their needs, while also creating effective documentation and working with junior developers to help them grow further. This role reports to a team lead, but will also interact with marketing personnel in addition to clients.
You don’t just throw code at a problem to make it go away; rather, you focus on long-term technology strategy and growth for the client. The best solution is one that works well with the ability to scale in the future. Additionally, as a software consultant, you’ll be the technology partner to help guide clients to the best next step for their visions and goals. This position’s promotion trajectory includes the possibility of becoming a senior developer or team lead.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Update and create new software databases for clients
Develop mobile apps and websites
Work with clients to create effective technology strategies for their business
Identify new work potential with clients
Write well-communicated documentation for internal and external processes, as well as follow established processes
Work with junior developers in a paired programming environment
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED required
BA/BS in computer science or related field preferred
Certified in FileMaker 16 or newer preferred
Salesforce Certified preferred
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
FileMaker Advanced Pro 16 and newer
FileMaker Go and WebDirect
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
Best practices for UI/UX design
Develop software with the mindset that good software does both what it’s supposed to do and can scale for further development or growth
Maintain servers and deploy new ones as needed
Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently depending on project/deadline needs
Effective communication and strong organizational skills
Eagerness to grow and expand your skillset

SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position based out of Saint Petersburg, Florida, and is not a remote role; Monday–Friday established office hours with some weekend hours as-needed for server maintenance and project deadlines
May need to periodically come in early or stay late for meetings, company events, and client deadlines
Occasional travel on behalf of the company (3–5 times per year), but will be prearranged when needed
Approximately 70–80% of your week will be spent on billable hours with the remaining 20–30% allocated towards internal projects and administrative duties
